How Many Laser Treatments Will I Need?
Every person is different, but it usually takes about a year to attain optimal results. The average person will need 6-8 treatments at six-week intervals for most areas (four to eight week intervals for some areas). There are three phases of hair growth. Only hair in the active growth phase, called anagen, can be treated by Laser Hair Removal. Typically, 20% of hair is in the anagen phase at once, so that is why we use intervals to slowly eradicate the hair.
Is Hair Removal A Permanent Treatment?
It is permanent to the terminal hairs treated in the anagen growth phase. Due to hormonal fluctuations in future, which can turn vellus hair (baby fine hair that covers our bodies) into terminal hair (thick, darker hairs), you may need periodic touchups to treat this new growth. At Satin Laser Spa we offer special touch up rates for future new growth.
Does Laser Hair Removal Hurt?
Technologies have come a long way. At Satin Laser Spa we use the most updated, comfortable technology available which treats most skin types. Most clients will tell you they experienced little to no discomfort during the treatment. Our laser has a chill tip (it consistently chills to -8 degrees Celsius) which provides the most comfortable experience possible to clients. This eliminates the need for any topical anesthetic.
Can I Remove Hair In Other Places Than My Legs?
Absolutely! Our lasers at Satin Laser Spa are very safe, we can use them just about anywhere on the body. Other popular areas for hair removal include the face, auxilla (underarms), linea, bikini line or brazilian, arms, chest and back. We also do buttocks, hands, feet and neck.
Who Is Eligible For Hair Removal?
Again, because it is so safe, almost anyone is eligible. Laser hair removal is effective for almost any skin tone and for men and women. It removes brown and black hair. But don’t worry, if you have blonde, grey or red hair we can do electrolysis to permanently remove your hair.
